Surgery Update

Maddie's surgery has been postponed until next Friday due to illness. She developed a cough and congestion since yesterday and the anesthesiologist felt that it was too dangerous to proceed. The risk of breathing problems during sedation and after surgery, increases greatly when you have a cough like hers. The bad thing is that she pretty much always has some breathing problems and coughing (the whole point of all of this surgery), so the window when she is well enough to do surgery is pretty small. The dr prescribed a nasal steroid to help ward off anything next week so hopefully we'll be good to go on Friday.

This is the 2nd time it has been postponed so we are VERY frustrated at this point. Just want this to be over and done so she can start feeling better for once.
